Here I am again! With another poem thing for Sheoldred, one of the New-Phyrexian Praetors from Magic: The Gathering. This actually is the second one I ever wrote, right after “Ballad to Madness” but I then decided to publish the Praetor ones in WUBRG order. That’s all the fun facts I have here, enjoy!
Can you hear them?
Shadows can only hide so much
And they have a habit to crawl
Moving shades of horrors such
Hope of resistance shall fall
Flaws of flesh I’ve seen
So meager in comparison
Dismember, replace, compleat
So-called sickness as a blessing
Kneeling before glory is only natural
And none is greater than I
My deeds so very exceptional
Hiding in every deafened cry
Voices of Ambition in the dark of day
The gift of obedience, if I may
Looming silhouette over every presence
Defeat taught important lessons
Obliteration, invasion, perfection
Be the terror they all dread to say
With destruction and conquest at bay
Whispers the only sound, corrupting
Six enemies behind, five allies to go
Brothers, Sister and Father be brought low
Silence be their only comfort, yet even here I thrive
Only for absolute victory I will strive
Quiet, quiet their doom shall come
Schemes annihilate all their wins
Leaving them on effortless run
Until finally, their mighty oil rinse
Voices of Ambition in the bright of night
Neither good nor evil escape my sight
Nightmares quaking before my blight
Legends align with the just cause
Opposition not be granted pause
Obliteration, invasion, perfection
Be the terror they all dread to say
With destruction and conquest at bay
Whispers the only sound, conquering
All will be One
And One will be me…
Voices of Ambition in the bright of day
Voices of Ambition in the dark of night
Acceptance of defeat the only choice
Shiver before my haunting voice
Myths will tell of the everlasting fright
That is brought by my rule right
All mistakes of life l shall take away
Only waste before my vault shall lay
Whispers the only sound, compleated
All will be One
And One will be me
